This turned out to be one of those small but meaningful projects that reminded me why I love creating things. It all started when my mum and sister got really into making jewelry and decorations out of polymer clay, and I noticed they were missing a tool that would make shaping rounded corners much easier.
I quickly made a few in onshape. After that came the 3D printing stage—which definitely wasn’t perfect at first. The initial print detached from the build plate, the second one turned out a bit too weak, but the third try was finally spot-on: solid, neatly shaped corner cutters in several sizes.
When I handed them over to my mum and sister, they were genuinely excited, not just because the tools looked cool, but because they were made especially for them and made their crafting easier.
